The Chairman stated that the meeting had been called for the purpose of appointing a member of the Otago Institute to vote in the election of Governors of the New Zealand Institute.

On the motion of Mr. W. D. Murison, seconded by Dr. Hocken, Mr. Justice Chapman was appointed.
