Lecture.— “A Visit to White Island, the Active Volcano in the Bay of Plenty,” by Mr. W. R. B. Oliver.

In addition to a description of White Island, its physiography and volcanic phenomena, its plant and bird life, the lecturer gave some account of the structure and distribution of volcanoes, with special reference to the line of active volcanoes stretching from Ngauruhoe to Tonga and Samoa.
